I loved it. Charlie Mouse. T Rex. Roaring. Negotiations. Communication. Commitment. Love. There was so much to love about Rock Hard.

Charlotte is a fabulous heroine. Smart, kind, generous. I loved Charlotte's evolution throughout the story.  Getting to know her slowly, her quirks, and then to learn what happened to her, what she survived, how she survived, and how she reclaimed her life, I admired her.

Gabriel. Yum. A former rugby player, a roaring T Rex of a CEO, a man who knows what he wants and usually he gets it. Except for Charlotte. He's got a thing for smarts. He's a driven man but he soon realizes that approach won't get him Charlotte. And his dirty talk...

I adored Charlotte and Gabriel together. Sweet. Tender. Sassy. Growly. Things aren't perfect; they struggle, they mess up but they keep trying because they know what they have is special. I liked that the relationship was slow, that Gabriel respected her reservations and was able to move at her pace but never stopped showing her how much he wanted her.

I'm a big fan of supportive secondary characters and the Molly/Charlotte friendship was fabulous. They're close enough that they can tell each other the hard truths, to encourage them to take chances, to be brave. And then there is Gabriel's family, warm and welcoming; I wish there was even more of them.

I can't believe I waited so long to read something by Nalini Singh. I loved her writing style - her chapter titles too - I was completely engrossed in the storyline, the characters and didn't want to put the book down. Rock Hard may have been my first Nalini Singh book but it will definitely not be the last.
