FOUR WILDE BROTHERS…ONE WILDE COUNTRY BAND

WILDE RIDERS is the first novel in a spicy new contemporary romance series about four sexy brothers, their small-town bar and their local country band. WILDE RIDERS can be read as a STAND ALONE NOVEL or as part of the SERIES.

Cooper Wilde spent his entire adolescence counting the days until he could escape rural northwest New Jersey. Now at 26, he can’t believe he’s coming back. But his late father’s bar, Haymakers, is in financial trouble and his older brother, Jake, has asked for Cooper’s help.

Riley Smith, 25, is fresh out of her Ivy League MBA program and wants to make an impression on her employer, H & C Bank. Her first solo assignment is a fraud investigation on a business loan they made to Haymakers.

Even though Old Town is less than 90 minutes from New York City, Riley feels like she’s stepped into another world in this remote, one-bar town. Riley can’t wait to do her business and get back to the city as quickly as her sports car will take her…until she meets Cooper Wilde. He’s not like the other guys in this rural town and Riley feels inexplicably attracted to him.

"The wind kicks up as I round the corner and enter the town square." (page 1, line 1)
Quick, fun, flirty, sexy read. A lot can happen in a week, a car accident, a seduction, a bet, a lie, four hot guys playing music, a happily ever after.

Riley is a smart, sassy, likeable character. She's ambitious, upwardly mobile and a complete fish out of water when her job takes her to - and then strands her in - rural New Jersey. She was fun to see in a country bar, at a Farm and Horse Show, in cowboy boots.

She thinks she knows what she wants - and that's not a 'Wall Street wannabe' - but then she meets a guy, a guy who challenges her, her pushes her outside her comfort zone, who makes her question what she really wants.

Cooper is so much like Riley, driven, ambitious. He's got a plan too. His plan is everything Riley eschews, so he lies. I get why he lied but those lies have repercussions, jeopardizing his happily ever after. Despite the lie Cooper is really a good guy. He is sweet, caring, there for his family - even when they drive him insane, and he adores Riley.
"When I look back over at Riley, I can see she's pouting. "What's that look for?"

She blinks at me with her big doe eyes and I can feel my heart skip a few beats. She could ask me to do anything right now and her wish would be my command. She's practically irresistible." (location 844)
In returning to Old Town, being a part of the Wilde Riders, Cooper starts to see that he's Wall Street guy and a country boy and he's better for it.

I liked the dual POVs, the chemistry between Cooper and Riley, the Wilde brothers, and the secondary characters: beautiful, confident Patti and the brusque, daring Harley.
"Her name is Harley," he reminds me.
"Yeah, I know. It's not every day you meet a girl named after a motorcycle manufacturer."
He shrugs. "Her dad owns a motorcycle dealership."
"So does she have a sister named Kawasaki?" I joke. (location 630)
Wilde Riders is the first book in the Old Town Country Romance series, focusing on the Wilde brothers - Mr. Lucky Cooper, gregarious ladies' man Jake, haunted soldier Tucker and serious, studious Hunter. I'm very excited to read each of the Wilde brother's stories.

And another quote for the road .... this time from Riley's friend Patti:
"She grins. "That's why you're my best friend."
"I'm your only friend," I correct."
"Best. Only. Semantics." (location 162)
