{Review} Quick, sexy, sci-fi read that has a very Firefly-like vibe and nonstop action, romance and banter.

Rose isn't a shrinking violet. She goes after what she wants and she's not above using threats and coercion. She's brave, determined, undaunted even when faced with Stone, infamous space pirate. Rose knows his reputation, she's been thinking about him for over a year, watching him with women who are nothing like her and they haven't been able to hold his attention. Surprisingly he wants her too, but for how long?

Ex-pirate Stone has a price on his head and a target on his back. The ex part isn't as easy as he'd thought it would be. "He was bored and he was lonely. Lonely, he could deal with, but he loathed being bored" (Cade, location 28). When Rose shows up with her laser he forgets to be bored and lonely and starts thinking about her in his bed.

Stone is arrogant. And bossy. He's also the best kind of alpha male, while being arrogant and bossy he's also a fierce protector and a big old softie for Rose. He's caring and supportive and proud of Rose as she goes after her dreams.

I just wish it had been longer, Stone and Rose are great characters.
